A Taste of Hungary: Dinner & Wine Pairing
Cooking Class for Ages 21+
Wednesday, November 18th | 6:00-8:00pm
Chicken Paprikash, Nokedli, Cucumber-Dill Salad & Hungarian Wine Tasting
Travel to the heart of Hungary in this warm and welcoming hands-on cooking class featuring some of the country’s most beloved comfort foods. Join Chef Lilly in creating some of her childhood favorites: Chicken Paprikash simmered in a silky, savory sauce built around Hungarian paprika, Nokedli, Hungary’s tender dumpling-like egg noodles (think Spaetzle), from scratch and pair them with a refreshing Cucumber-Dill Salad that balances the meal with bright, crisp flavors.
To complete the experience, guests will enjoy a pairing of two distinctive Hungarian wines: Egri Bikavér (“Bull’s Blood”), Hungary’s famous full-bodied red blend, and a crisp, refreshing Hungarian Grüner Veltliner, selected to showcase the diversity of the country’s winemaking traditions. N/A wines and beers are also available (2 drinks included in ticket price).
Discover the ingredients and techniques that define Hungarian cooking while exploring how similar foods appear throughout Eastern Europe. Ideal for anyone who appreciates hearty, comforting meals, good wine, and the flavors of Central Europe. Students work in pairs.
