Scrumptious Skewers: Lunch on Sticks!
Cooking Class for Ages 9-13

Get ready to skewer, stack, and snack! Chef Jeri will guide young chefs as they make Italian Sausage Skewers with peppers, onions, and mozzarella, plus a scratch marinara sauce for dipping. Then they’ll create colorful Rainbow Fruit Skewers and a sweet honey dipping sauce. This hands-on class teaches kitchen basics, food prep skills, and creative presentation while serving up plenty of fun. From savory to sweet, everything tastes better on a stick!

Menu:

Homemade “Pop Tarts”
Baking Class for Ages 7-12 w/Adult

Join Chef Jeri for a fun morning making homemade pop-tarts! You’ll team up and make the crust from scratch, then make your own filling choices and assemble the poptarts, bake ’em, then frost and eat them! This class is for ages 7-12 with an adult.

Fun with Puff Pastry!
Cooking Class for Ages 7-12 w/Adult

Join Chef Lilly for a class all about the magic of puff pastry! Hundreds of layers of butter and flaky pastry make this special dough “rise” to the occasion, and provides a fun format for all types of imaginative shapes, flavors, and textures! Together, you’ll learn how to cut different Danish shapes and use different fillings, make “snails”, and even apple-rose-roll-ups! Join us for this exciting adventure all about puff pastry!

Handmade Pasta Night!
Cooking Class for Ages 7-12 w/Adult
Tuesday, September 8th | 5:30-7:30pm

Make fresh tagliatelle pasta with Chef Lilly by mixing dough, rolling it through pasta machines, and hand-cutting long, ribbon-like noodles. Then prepare a savory Italian sausage and roasted tomato sauce (with a vegetarian option available) and bake irresistible garlicky puff-pastry knots for a perfect mid-week dinner. Roll up your sleeves and discover the art of fresh pasta making together! In this fun, hands-on class, kids and their favorite adult will learn how to create delicious Italian dishes completely from scratch. Perfect for beginner cooks and food lovers alike.

Eclairs and Profiteroles
Baking for Ages 9-14 w/Adult
Monday, November 2nd | 6:00-8:00pm

Join chef Alex for a class all about the French pastry classic – the Eclair! Kids work with their adult to prepare Pate au Choux dough, pipe out eclair and profiterole shapes, prepare vanilla custard from scratch, assemble their eclairs and dunk them in chocolate glaze! Each kid/adult duo will take home at least 12 delicious eclairs to enjoy with family and friends!

Introduction to Character Design
Saturday, 12:00 pm
January 10 – January 31 | Ages 11-13

Class:

Learn the basics of character design in this four week course, offering demos on drawing basics like shape breakdowns and best sketchbook practices, with hands-on studio time. Students will develop original characters over the course of 4-weeks and learn visual storytelling elements.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating character. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.

Animation Illustration
Saturday, 12:00 pm
February 7 – February 28 | Ages 10 – 15

Class:

Learn the basics of animation, some of the principles, and history. You will be introduced to motion and hand-drawing paper animation by creating a flipbook! Begin creating your own character and start to animate them using the animation techniques used in the first class.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating animations. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.
