Resin Jewelry-making

June 6 | Ages 13-17

Class:

In this class, we will be making a pair of earrings (in the shape of your choosing) out of resin. Embedded within the resin, we will be adding flowers and natural elements found on the grounds of Baker Hunt (or brought from home) and/or other materials such as pigments or powders. 

What You’ll Learn:

  • Learn to use resin safely to create artwork
  • Develop skills of adding elements to resin, working with molds, and setting correct temperature/UV exposure.
  • Learn to bring jewelry fixing together to create a cohesive, wearable art piece.

What You’ll Leave With:

A pair of beautiful, unique resin earrings, perhaps more if time allows.

Mother’s Day Birdseed Wreaths

Class:

If you are looking for a unique, hand-made gift for Mom on Mother’s Day, this class is for you! Join us as we dive into the world of backyard birds as we create decorated birdseed wreaths! Sure to attract the attention of a variety of colorful, native birds to your backyard, this birdseed wreath will also attract the attention of Mom on her special day!

What You’ll Learn:

We will discuss the kinds of native and migrating birds that reside in the greater Cincinnati/NKY area for the spring and summer, as well as the different types of seeds, fruits, and nuts that they love to eat! We will also learn how to use eco- and bird-friendly materials as binding agents for our feeder wreaths.

What You’ll Leave With:

Each stud will leave with a beautiful, outdoor birdseed wreath (and a mold for future wreaths!) that has a one-of-a-kind design made with fruits, nuts, and other bird-loving foods…just in time for Mother’s Day! You will also have a greater appreciation for the birds in our area, and leave with tips for attracting specific birds to your backyard!

Family Knife Skills – Keep the Knife!
Ages 7-10 w/Adult
Thursday, April 16th, 2026 | 5:30-7:30pm

Learning knife skills at a young age fosters independence, empowers the cook and enhances safety by replacing fear with proper, controlled techniques. Mastering these techniques, as an adult or a young person, leads to more efficient cooking and better eating.
With basic knife skills we’ll learn about the knife, knife cuts and cooking application. We’ll enjoy a roasted vegetable bowl with our knife cuts. Mary will demo a classic French vinaigrette

Homemade “Pop Tarts”
Baking Class for Ages 9-12
Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 | 9:30-11:30am

Join Chef Jeri for a fun morning making homemade pop-tarts! You’ll team up and make the crust from scratch, then make your own filling choices and assemble the poptarts, bake ’em, then frost and eat them! This class is for ages 9-12. Students work in pairs, so sign up with a friend!

Homeschool Beginning Watercolor
Friday, 12:00pm
April 10 – May 1 | Ages 11-15

Learn the fundamental materials and techniques of watercolor painting in this 4-week session. Each session will include inspiration from famous watercolor artists, teacher demonstrations and a fun mini project to practice new techniques.

What You’ll Learn:

We will learn techniques such as wet-on-wet, dry-brushing, edge control, gradients and adding mixed media to create expressive paintings. We will also learn to use materials to layer, mix colors and create dynamic effects.

What You’ll Leave With:

You will come away with a toolbox of techniques to practice on your own, color and technique charts, and at least 3 mini watercolor projects

I can paint an AXOLOTL
Saturday, 12:00 pm
February 21 | Ages 5-7

Class:

Have your child join us on a Saturday and we will have ‘OLOTL’ fun when they learn how to use acrylics to paint an AXOLOTL on a canvas!

(This is a kids only workshop, no adults are in the classroom)

What You’ll Discover:

They will be in a step-by-step group learning environment as they learn how to paint their very own Axolotl painting on canvas board. The will learn the basics of how to paint using acrylics while learning some fun nature and axolotl facts!

What You’ll Create:

They will paint a copy of the pictured axolotl picture above on a 8×8″ canvas board.

Shape-Shifting Foods
5-Day Cooking Camp | July 13 – July 17
9:00am-12:30pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

We eat with our eyes first! Lots of foods take forms other than their original/natural state – it’s part of the process, and part of the fun of cooking! This camp explores those processes in a fun and delicious way. Join us for a week of flavorful food transformations of all shapes & sizes.

What You’ll Discover:

In this camp you’ll discover techniques in baking and cooking with shapes and textures that change the way you see your food, and fun ways to eat it, too!

What You’ll Create:

Work with the chef to create and shape a variety of delicious foods: pretzels, porcupine buns, challah, pizza, cookies, meatballs, donut-holes, onigiri (rice), and so much more! Eat all you’d like during camp, and take any leftovers home with you each day!

Before-Care Available:

Before-Care provides additional time before camp for early drop-offs. Before-Care starts at 8am. To enroll, add the Before-Care “ticket” to your registration. After-care is not available for this camp | students must be picked up at 12:30pm

Baking Masters!
5-Day Baking Camp | July 27 – July 31
9:00am-12:30pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

This camp is ALL about BAKING! Tackle the basics-intermediate baking skills like reading recipes, measuring, and more while you bake and decorate desserts all week!

What You’ll Discover:

In this camp you’ll discover techniques in baking like measuring, safely using the ovens, how to bake and build a beautiful cake, cupcakes, and more!

What You’ll Create:

Work with the chef to create muffins, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, creme brulee, cheesecakes, mini pies, and more! Enjoy making a delicious snack each day to help offset the sweetness of this camp! Students get to keep all the leftovers from what they bake in camp!

Before-Care Available:

Before-Care provides additional time before camp for early drop-offs. Before-Care starts at 8am. To enroll, add the Before-Care “ticket” to your registration. After-care is not available for this camp | students must be picked up at 12:30pm

Introduction to Character Design
Saturday, 12:00 pm
January 10 – January 31 | Ages 11-13

Class:

Learn the basics of character design in this four week course, offering demos on drawing basics like shape breakdowns and best sketchbook practices, with hands-on studio time. Students will develop original characters over the course of 4-weeks and learn visual storytelling elements.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating character. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.

Animation Illustration
Saturday, 12:00 pm
February 7 – February 28 | Ages 10 – 15

Class:

Learn the basics of animation, some of the principles, and history. You will be introduced to motion and hand-drawing paper animation by creating a flipbook! Begin creating your own character and start to animate them using the animation techniques used in the first class.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating animations. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.
