Pinecone Luna Moth

General Class Description
Transform ordinary pinecones into whimsical woodland moths using colorful paper wings, hand-drawn details and simple craft supplies. Inspired by the beautiful moths found in nature during the fall season, students will design unique wing patterns and assemble a charming decoration that can be displayed in seasonal centerpieces, wreaths, or nature-themed décor.
What Will Students Learn?
Symmetry and wing pattern design inspired by real moth species.
How to work with durable craft materials (felt and EVA foam).
Safe hot glue assembly techniques for layered 3D structure.
Surface decoration using paint pens and acrylic detailing.
Basic principles of sculpture-style craft building (layering + structure).
What Will Students Leave With?
Once completed, students will have a finished Pinecone Moth sculpture. They will gain experience working with mixed-media craft materials, leaving with a more advanced understanding of craft construction.
