Experience the warmth, flavor, and rich culinary traditions of Puerto Rico in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Mona, where you will prepare a rich & savory Pollo Guisado (Braised Chicken Stew) , Golden Yellow Rice, and irresistible Tostones.  Mona always brings more than just cooking tips; learn about the connection between food, history, and culture as you prepare this menu that you will want to recreate at home again & again. Discover why these dishes remain favorites at gatherings across the island and throughout the Puerto Rican diaspora.

Menu:

Homemade Empanadas – Two Ways

Discover the art of making empanadas completely from scratch in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Tiffiny. You’ll learn how to prepare and shape tender homemade empanada dough before creating two flavorful fillings: a classic savory beef empanada and a decadent mushroom, onion, and gouda empanada.
As your empanadas bake to golden perfection, you’ll also make two delicious sauces from scratch: a rich, smoky ranchero sauce and a bright, herb-packed chimichurri that’s perfect for dipping and drizzling.
Along the way, Chef Tiffiny will share techniques for dough preparation, filling development, seasoning, shaping, and baking, helping you build confidence in the kitchen while learning a versatile dish that can be customized countless ways.
Designed for ages 16 and up, this class is perfect for anyone who loves bold flavors, wants to expand their cooking skills, and enjoys creating restaurant-quality food from scratch. Savoring Fall: Autumn Flavors of Spain
Seasonal Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Thursday, October 8th | 5:30-8:00pm

Celebrate the season with Chef Mary in this cozy, hands-on cooking class featuring the flavors of fall. You’ll prepare a refreshing Orange, Feta, and Red Onion Salad, a hearty Menestra Spanish Vegetable Stew with potatoes, parsnips, and red peppers, and finish with flaky Phyllo-Almond Snails inspired by traditional baklava.
Along the way, you’ll learn techniques for working with seasonal produce, building flavor, and handling delicate phyllo dough. Perfect for cooks of all skill levels, this class is a delicious way to welcome autumn, eat plant-based meals, and expand your culinary repertoire.

Tamales with Rojo Pork!
Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Tuesday, September 1st | 5:30-8:00pm

Discover the delicious art of tamale making in this hands-on class with Chef Lilly designed for teens and adults. You’ll learn how to prepare traditional masa from scratch, create a rich and flavorful red chile sauce, and combine it with slow-braised pork butt to make authentic homemade tamales. From filling and wrapping to steaming, you’ll master each step of the process while gaining practical kitchen skills and confidence. To round out the meal, you’ll also prepare hearty charro beans and bright, tangy pickled red onions, perfect accompaniments to your freshly made tamales. A vegetarian options are available, please let us know when you register.
