Baking with Black Cocoa: Holiday Treats

Chef Lilly is back with more ultra-chocolatey sweets just in time for the holidays! Kids and their adult will make Black Cocoa Brownies with Powdered Sugar “Snow,” Chocolate M&M Cookies, and Holiday Ornament Oreo Truffles in this fun, hands-on baking class for ages 9-14 with an adult. A chocolate adventure awaits! Dive into the magical world of black cocoa—the secret ingredient that makes some of your favorite cookies extra dark and extra delicious (think “Oreos”).

Caramels From Scratch
Ages 7-12 w/Adult
Thursday, December 10, 2026 | 6:00-7:30pm

Join Chef/Owner Annie Brown of Laughing Bees Honey for a candy class making Caramels! You’ll learn the steps to making delicious caramels and caramel sauce from scratch at home! Practice with silicone molds for the perfect caramel shape, then take the mold home with you!

Spooky Family Portraits
Friday, 6:00pm – 8:00pm
October 2 | Ages 0 – 99+

General Class Description

Students may either use a given pattern to create a paper doll or draw their own using paper and brass push pins. Then, using colored construction paper, they will dress up their mini-me in a Halloween costume! Once it is all done, the hands of the dolls will be connected using string or glue, creating a fun spooky Halloween family portrait to hang up as decorations around their house!

***Anyone under the age of 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult

What Will Students Learn?

Working together as a family, and separately, to create a unique interpretation of their self to complete and connect each piece together. This builds cooperation and teamwork as a family unit, while also allowing individualism to shine.

What Will Students Leave With?

A spooky, fun family portrait and hopefully, some great memories 🙂

General Class Description

Grab a partner and join the circle to learn a variety of old-timey dances! Contra-dancing includes the Virginia Reel, do-si-do and polka steps to the tune of folk-style fiddling.

***Anyone under the age of 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult. One adult per one child, please.

What Will Students Learn?

Students will learn 3 contra dances including:
– the Virginia Reel
– Heel Toe Polka
– Big Mountain Circle

What Will Students Leave With?

A good cardio exercise, lots of laughs, and fun memories!

Uplifting Indoor/Outdoor Signs!

General Class Description

Come join us in a community gathering/class to learn how to make plaques or signs with uplifting messages on them to hang anywhere, indoor or out! You will have the options of using a variety of materials like canvas, plywood, scrap wood, wire/yarn, acrylic paint and paint markers, and decorative adornments. Be and display the positive message you would like to create!

Homemade Gummy Bears
Ages 7-12 w/Adult
Tuesday, October 6th | 6:00-7:30pm

Join Chef/Owner Annie Brown of Laughing Bees Honey for a candy class making Gummy Bears! You’ll learn the steps to making gummy bears and other soft candies at home! You’ll go home with a batch of your own delicious gummy bears, and a silicone mold to make more! Class is for ages 7-12 who must be accompanied by an adult (18+)

Monster Meal!
Cooking Class Ages 7-12 w/Adult
Tuesday, October 27th | 5:30-7:30pm

Young chefs and their adult partners will build a Skeleton Crudité Platter using fresh vegetables arranged into a spooky skeleton shape, then whip up a creamy Homemade Ranch Dip perfect for dunking. Next, you’ll create gooey Monster Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, stuffed with melty cheese, pizza flavors, pepperoni, and plenty of silly monster-inspired details. For dessert, you’ll decorate Slime Monster Cupcakes with stuffed and topped with colorful “slime” frosting, and floating candy eyeballs that bring each edible monster to life.
Bring your favorite grown-up and join us for a hands-on Halloween-themed class where spooky snacks and silly monsters take center stage. Together, you’ll transform everyday ingredients into festive creations that are as fun to make as they are to eat.

Cheesecake Creations with The Cheesecakery

Join local pastry chef and owner of The Cheesecakery Liz Field for a fun, hands-on baking experience! Learn how to create stunning gourmet cheesecake cupcakes from scratch as Liz guides you through making a rich, versatile cheesecake filling and layering it with delicious flavors and textures. You’ll craft your own crusts, fruit sauces, and creative toppings to personalize each sweet treat. Perfect for young bakers, this class offers the chance to develop new kitchen skills while creating desserts that look as amazing as they taste. Each kid/adult pair takes home a dozen cheesecake-cupcakes.

Embark on a hands-on cooking adventure designed for parents and kids ages 7–10! You’ll cook up classic comfort favorites like creamy stovetop macaroni and cheese, crispy breaded chicken tenders, and fresh veggies with homemade ranch dip. The class ends on a sweet note with a warm brown butter skillet cookie everyone will love sharing.
