Family Knife Skills – Keep the Knife!
Ages 7-10 w/Adult
Thursday, April 16th, 2026 | 5:30-7:30pm

Learning knife skills at a young age fosters independence, empowers the cook and enhances safety by replacing fear with proper, controlled techniques. Mastering these techniques, as an adult or a young person, leads to more efficient cooking and better eating.
With basic knife skills we’ll learn about the knife, knife cuts and cooking application. We’ll enjoy a roasted vegetable bowl with our knife cuts. Mary will demo a classic French vinaigrette

Baking with Black Cocoa
Baking Class for Kids 7-12 w/Adult
Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 | 5:30-8:00pm

A chocolate adventure awaits! In this hands‑on class, you’ll dive into the magical world of black cocoa—the secret ingredient that makes some of your favorite cookies extra dark and extra delicious (think “oreos”). You’ll mix, bake, and take triple‑chocolate brownie brittle that’s crunchy, chocolaty, and totally irresistible. Then you’ll make your own black‑cocoa shortbread cookies—soft, crumbly, and perfect for turning into awesome sandwich cookies. If you love chocolate, creating cool treats, and having fun in the kitchen, this class is the perfect place to show off your baking superpowers.
