Teen: Sew Your Own Hoodie

Class:
In this 7-week class you will learn to measure, mark, and cut patterns, what different pattern markings mean, how to lengthen/shorten a pattern if needed, and how to sew together a knit pattern to make a lightweight sweatshirt perfect for spring and fall! Students will learn about pattern ease and selecting the size that best suits their desired fit. This class is best suited for confident beginners or intermediate sewists. Class instructor will go over important garment sewing fundamentals to build the proper skills to make your own clothes for years to come!
*** The Instructor encourages students that if they own their own sewing machine, they may bring it to class to work on their project on a machine they are more familiar with. Baker Hunt still provides sewing machines for students who don’t own a machine and/or students who prefer not to transport their personal machine from home.***
What You’ll Learn:
This beginner class will teach participants how to the introductory skills of sewing and garment making.
What You’ll Leave With:
At the end of the class, students will have created a unique handmade and cozy hoodie.
