Uplifting Indoor/Outdoor Signs!

General Class Description

Come join us in a community gathering/class to learn how to make plaques or signs with uplifting messages on them to hang anywhere, indoor or out! You will have the options of using a variety of materials like canvas, plywood, scrap wood, wire/yarn, acrylic paint and paint markers, and decorative adornments. Be and display the positive message you would like to create!

***Anyone under the age of 14 needs to be accompanied by an adult

Painting/lettering/craftsmanship

What Will Students Leave With?

A handmade, decorated sign with text and images that are personally, socially, and/or politically meaningful and uplifting

Stained Glass: Pumpkin

Discover the basic steps and the tools used in the Stained Glass/ Art Glass process. Learn how to use the proper tools to perform each and every  step in the glass-making process. Create your very own individual stained glass piece in a step by step, group learning environment. Leave with a stained glass Pumpkin!

Are you interested in trying wheel throwing? This is the perfect opportunity! Whether you’re treating yourself to an experience, having a friends’ night out, or going on a date with a special someone, our wheel workshops give everyone the perfect opportunity to try the art form!

What You’ll Discover:

In this class, students will be able to play with clay and try out the fundamental steps of wheel throwing. This includes :

  • Centering
  • Pulling
  • Shaping

What you will take home:

Students will leave with a new experience under their belt and a finished piece to commemorate their time!

(Please note: Student work will go through two firings after the class has concluded. Students will be contacted, via email, once their pottery has finished firing and available for pick up on a later date)

Garden Planning with Jennifer Smith!
Saturdays , 9:00 a.m.

Class:

Love gardening, but need a little help in the planning process to design a new garden or update an existing garden?

In this two day class, design your own garden! Award-winning garden designer Jennifer Smith will teach you how to design your next garden.

What You’ll Learn:

Site evaluation, plant selection, soil assessment, basic garden design principles, how to achieve continuous blooms in the garden, create winter interest in the garden, and garden care considerations.

What You Leave With:

A scaled drawing of their new garden with plant list.

Garden Talk Series: Planting for Pollinators
Saturday , 12:00 p.m.
October 24th
Ages 16-99+

Class:

Learn how to plant a garden for pollinators, be it in the sun or shade.

What You’ll Learn:

Sire evaluation, soil prep, plant selection and arrangement, and garden care. How to design a winter garden and a soft landing garden.

What You Leave With:

A clear understanding of how to plant a garden that will be a haven for pollinators and birds. We will review design ideas, designers to follow-study, books to read and of course great plants to consider.

Join us to help find your center and have great family fun in this class this class for adults caring for children ages from 4-10. This class focuses on movement, play and mindfulness, no experience required! Come in, have fun, and experience a fun introduction to yoga for you and your little on as you learn basic poses in the fun holiday theme of Halloween! Come in and learn the “Downward Facing Werewolf” pose, and the “Laying Egyptian Mummy” pose, and so much more!

What You’ll Learn:

In a group, movement-by-movement instructed environment, you will learn traditional and easy yoga stances and practices.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being and a fun memory with your family!
