Chef Secrets: Winter Warmer Meal br/> Kitchen Class for Ages 16+

Discover how easy and exciting cooking can be as you learn to create a comforting, flavor‑packed meal inspired by bold Latin spices and seasonings. In this hands‑on class, you’ll master time‑saving kitchen tools while preparing three unforgettable dishes: a velvety Creamy Cauliflower Soup, a vibrant Charred Asparagus–Carrot Salad, and irresistible Spicy Latin Meatballs with chimichurri.
Come hungry and leave confident—you’re about to cook like a pro at home!

Class is for ages 16+. Students work in pairs – sign up with a friend!  Please register by February 17th.

Menu:

Eat Now AND Later – Succulent Soups & Sauces
Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 | 11:00am-1:00pm

The classic French sauce “Veloute”  is a chef’s secret for adding richness and creaminess to your meals without a lot of fat. In this class, you will learn to make the classic mother sauce “Veloute” then use it in 2 different recipes – one will be a lovely lunch of Seared Chicken with Lemon-Caper Sauce to enjoy with classmates, the other will be Cream of Mushroom (or Broccoli) Soup, packed to take home and have for dinner or freeze for another time.   This class is for students ages 16+, students work in pairs so sign up with a friend or plan to make some new ones! Please register by March 6th at noon.

Menu:

  • Chicken Paillard with Lemon-Caper Sauce
  • Cream of Broccoli or Cream of Mushroom Soup (your choice)

Plant-Focused Dinner: Beat the Winter Blues
Cooking Class for Ages 21+
Friday, January 16th, 2026 | 6:00-8:00pm

Winter doesn’t have to be gray! Brighten your plate (and your mood) with Chef Jo’s plant-powered creations. These bold, versatile recipes are perfect for dinner, snacks, or party bites. Flavor-packed, fuss-free, and guaranteed to make you fall in love with veggies all over again. (VEGETARIAN). Class is for ages 21+, registration includes two adult beverages from our menu of beer, wine, and NA options. Students work in pairs, so sign up with a friend!  Please register by January 12th at noon.

Menu:

  • Smoky Little Deviled New Potatoes
  • Warming Turmeric – Lemon – Barley Soup
  • Kale Salad with Cranberries and Walnut Gremolata
  • Tofu Ricotta Spread with Whole-Wheat Baguette
