Drink & Draw! Caricatures With Friends!

Class: 

Spend a fun, humorous, and amusing evening at Baker Hunt with a friend, loved one, or that special someone and learn to draw their Whimsical Caricature!

In this new exciting one day workshop, you will learn to create fun amusement park style caricatures drawing while you sketch your partner in class, while creating lasting and humorous memories!

What You’ll Experience:

Due to the presence of alcohol, this is an adult (21 and up) only workshop. You will have a choice of either wine and/or beer from our Baker Hunt beer and wine list. There is a two drink limit per person, and outside alcohol is not permitted. Non-alcoholic options are available and a snack tray is provided.

You will learn tips and tricks of how to render a simplistic caricature sketch of a person. Then you’ll spend time sketching your partner using the basic caricature supplies; pencils, pastels, and outlining markers.

What You’ll Leave With:

You will leave with a fun one of a kind caricature portrait, the knowledge of the basic fundamental skills of caricature making, and a fun memory with your partner.

Greece in Your Garden!

Class:

Students will turn terracotta flower pots into their very own re-creation of ancient Greek pottery.

What You’ll Learn:

Students will learn about Greek myths & imagery, and the wonderful world of ancient art, as they consider what imagery is important to them.

What You’ll Leave With:

Each student will leave with a terracotta flower pot painted in the style of ancient black-figure Greek pottery.

Inspired by the upcoming Covington Convention event: CONington: A Celebration of Tabletop on APRIL  24th through APRIL 26TH, come join us at Baker Hunt the following weekend for workshops inspired by the themes of the convention!

This entertaining workshop keeps the festivities going from the convention by having attendees create a fun and fully customizable D-20 inspired Welcome Mats!

This workshop is perfect for an adult family get together, date night activity, or an event help you relax and craft something unique while spending some quality time with good friends.

And you don’t have to “ROLL FOR INITIATIVE” to have fun in this class!

Intermediate Acrylics / Acrylic Open Studio

April 14 – May 5 | Ages 16-99+

Class:

The class will focus on identifying students’ individual proclivities in art making, then emphasizing those in the work at hand of the medium of your choice. Mark making, drawing, composition, color, material handling, and intent will be addressed. If you want to increase your skills as an Acrylic painter, you’ll explore involve tips and technique to help bring your acrylic painting come to life! Every artist has a ‘signature’ in their work; this class will help you discover yours.  Individual attention with each student in a shared studio is the focus.

This class serves as a time to use our studio get some additional work done on your artwork from another classes, or get some feed back from fellow artists, students, and Stephanie the instructor. Students will be given individual attention on the subject of their choosing. 

(There will be a group critique to conclude the class.)

What You’ll Learn:

In a group learning environment, you will be working on your own current self-pace artwork, and will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, feedback on your artwork, and inspiration form the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have more confidence in the progression of your current artwork and better understanding of using Acrylics.
