Family Birdhouse Bird-Feeder Painting!

Join us at Baker Hunt on a Saturday for an afternoon of family fun as we customize decorate bird-feeders for our local feather friends!

***Any Youths 15 years old and younger, must be accompanied by an adult.***

What You’ll Discover:

We’ll paint birdhouse bird-feeders in whatever colors/patterns the students imagines, and learn about different local birds just in time for Spring!

What You’ll Create:

With each ticket purchase will receive TWO pre-built bird-feeders in the shape of hanging birdhouses, and you will leave with two custom decorate bird-feeders and a bag of beginning birdseed.

I can paint an AXOLOTL

February 21 | Ages 5-7

Class:

Have your child join us on a Saturday and we will have ‘OLOTL’ fun when they learn how to use acrylics to paint an AXOLOTL on a canvas!

(This is a kids only workshop, no adults are in the classroom)

What You’ll Discover:

They will be in a step-by-step group learning environment as they learn how to paint their very own Axolotl painting on canvas board. The will learn the basics of how to paint using acrylics while learning some fun nature and axolotl facts!

What You’ll Create:

They will paint a copy of the pictured axolotl picture above on a 8×8″ canvas board.

Natural Art Camp
5-Days | June 15th – June 19th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 9 to 12

CAMP Theme:

Campers will learn how to use objects from nature (leaves, stones, sticks, seeds, flowers, clay) to create unique works of art.

What You’ll Discover:

In this whimsical week long camp, you will learn how to turn everyday natural objects into tiny personalized works of art. We’ll explore the outside world all around our beautiful campus gathering materials to create fun, natural artworks. We will spend a lot of time outside, but also inside a giant bell tent pitched in the side yard.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects using natural objects to create weavings, a pinch pot, sculptures, paint brushes, and more. We will use flower petals, sticks, and seeds in new ways, and create ‘nature people’ then learn to take photos of them in a fun, whimsical setting.

Before & After-care Available:

Before & After-care provides additional time before and after camp for early drop-offs and late pick-ups. Before-Care starts at 8am, and After-Care ends at 4pm. To enroll, add the Before & After-care “ticket” to your registration.

Da’ Vinci Drawing Camp
5-Days | July 6th – July 10th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 9 to 12

CAMP Theme:

Campers will learn about the elements of art and design when creating 2-D art, and will get exposure of different drawing mediums such as pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, and markers.

What You’ll Discover:

Enhance the drawing skills of your young budding artist as they explore the elements of art and the principles of design when focus on developing their illustration skills. In this week long camp, activities will include covering a variety of drawing  materials and they will learn all about how to bring their drawing to life. Learning to use techniques such as pointillism, one & two point perspective, lightening and shading, and how to create dynamic compositions.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as perspective drawing, pointillism, charcoal rendering, using art markers to create value and contrast, still-life drawing, figure and posing studies, and so much more!

Before & After-care Available:

Americas Indigenous Art Camp
5-Days | June 1st – June 5th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

Focus on the many artforms attributed to the ancient and modern Indigenous people of North and South America!

What You’ll Discover:

This week-long art camp steeped in cultural history explores the ancient and modern arts of the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas! Explore Mayan culture through mosaics and architecture (model building), the Incas and their woven textiles full of symbolism, the Mississippian cultures’ shell art and copper plaques, and Inuits for their “soap” stone carvings and beadwork textiles, Indigenous Americans and their basketry and pottery, and more!

What You’ll Create:

You will create a number of fun projects such as masks, paper weaving, soap carving, beading/bead jewelry, small pottery making, and figurine sculpting.

Before & After-care Available:

5-Days | June 1st – June 5th

CAMP Theme:

Campers will learn about the elements of art and design when creating 2-D art, and will get exposure of different painting mediums; Acrylic, Watercolor, Oil Paint, etc.

What You’ll Discover:

Enhance the skills of your young budding artist as they explore the elements of art and the principles of design when they study the grand masters of the 2-D painting world. In this week long camp, activities will include covering a variety of drawing and painting materials and they will learn all about the different and historical influences of past famous grand master painters, such as Monet, Cézanne, Van Gough, Gauguin, and many more!

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting, charcoal rendering, impressionistic painting, abstract painting, figure and posing studies, and so much more!

Before & After-care Available:

Paint in the style of Paul Gauguin! Complete the picture Hillside in the oil medium. Walk step-by-step through the creative process with the instructor.  Learn all the tips and trick of using oils in understanding the medium of oil paint on canvas. All skill levels are welcome!

What You’ll Learn:

In a small step-by-step group learning environment, students will learn new painting techniques such as monotone underpainting, mixing the correct colors on a palette, and blending and glazing techniques to help achieve a proficient finished product. Some drawing skills will be taught, but previous drawing experience would be helpful, but not required.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have more confidence and knowledge of using Oils, and you will have a complete copy of the featured artwork.
