Gentle Slow Flow Yoga

Beginner Yoga for Ages 16+

Class:

Join us to help find your center and help maintain your mental and physical health. This yoga class is slower in pace, cadence, and more gentle to your nervous system. In this class we practice less intense positions, and offer extended time for meditation, breath work, and relaxation. Beginner friendly. Class is beginner friendly, for adults ages 16+.

What You’ll Learn:

In a group, movement-by-movement instructed environment, you will learn traditional and easy yoga stances and practices.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being.

Multi-Layer Linocut Printmaking br/>Tuesday, 6:00 pm
July 7 – July 28 | Ages 16-99+

Class:

In this exciting new mixed media 4-week class, you will learn all about the rudimentary skills of creating a series of  linocuts creations to create wonderful layered effect print to give your carving and print more depth and help bring your prints more to life!

What You’ll Learn:

In this 4-week class, In a group learning environment you will learn how to design, carve, and print a dynamic image using multiple layers of color. Starting with the basics of linocut tools and safety, you’ll develop a simple composition and explore how to break it into separate layers for printing. You will also learn practice carving techniques, registration methods for aligning layers, and inking processes to build up rich, vibrant prints.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end the 4 class meetings, you will have a more understanding of the properties of printmaking linoleum cuts and leave with the skill set to repeat your prints at home, and you will have completed a small edition of your own multi-color linocut print.

Carve and Color!:
Printmaking & Watercolor
Tuesday, 6:00 pm
June 2 – June 23 | Ages 16-99+

Class:

In this exciting new mixed media 4-week class, you will learn all about the rudimentary skills of creating linocuts with creating watercolor enhancements, to create wonderful and whimsical prints with stunning watercolor backgrounds and/or embellishments!

What You’ll Learn:

In a group learning environment, you will design and carve traditional linoleum blocks to create unique low relief stamps for the first two weeks, and then you will print them add watercolor backgrounds or fill in pieces they may want a pop of color to enhance your design in the last two weeks of class. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end the 4 class meetings, you will have a more understanding of the properties of printmaking linoleum cuts and the watercolor making process, and leave with the skill set to repeat your prints at home, along with a couple of successful prints of your class project.

Introduction to Stained Glass

Class:

Explore the wonderous world of stained glass making! Come and discover the basic steps and the tools used in the Stained Glass making process. In a step-by-step instruction, small group learning environment, you will create on a single stained glass panel from a selected group of popular beginner level patterns by the instructor. This class is set up as a beginner class or a refresher class.  No glass working experience is needed.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn how to properly use the basic tools of a stained glass artist, and you will learn the FOUR basic steps of the stained glass making process: Glass Cutting, Glass Grinding, Foiling, and Soldering. You will demonstrate these four steps on a simple class practice piece design first, and then demonstrate them on your final project design.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of the course, you will have learned and experienced first-hand all the steps of how to make a piece of stained glass art, and you will leave with a completed piece of stained glass artwork. (A small-medium practice piece design)

Perfect for beginners and intermediate artists, this course offers both instruction and hands-on practice to build confidence and creativity in drawing the figure and using soft pastels.

What You’ll Learn:

Each week, students will explore different technical skill and simple techniques to create a pastel rendering.  Students will work in a group-learning environment, and will also have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance and feedback on their artwork from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in using soft pastels understanding of the techniques learned throughout the class, and students will obtain an average of 1 – 3 completed pieces based on the students dedication.

Flow to Floor Yoga
Tuesday, 12:00 pm
July 7 – July 28 | Ages 16+

Class:

Join us to help find your center and help maintain your mental and physical health. . “Flow to Floor” first begins with 30 minutes or so is a traditional vinyasa flow sequence, and then the end of class, students transitions into a slower pace with more restorative postures. (i.e. mainly seated, supine, or prone poses). Class is beginner friendly, for adults ages 16+.

What You’ll Learn:

In a group, movement-by-movement instructed environment, you will learn traditional and easy yoga stances and practices.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being.
