Sewing Lab: Garment Open Studio (Pants/Skirts)

Class:
Sewing Lab: PANTS (or skirts!) Open Studio is for sewists who have a basic understanding of sewing garments who wish to improve their garment sewing skills in an environment with other students and an instructor. Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine and should have a basic understanding of garment sewing, though specifically pants or skirts are not required. Students will work on their patterns in class and may have some homework to complete between sessions. Topics covered in this class include: weekly technique demonstrations with the option for students to construct a sample of specific techniques, measuring a pattern, choosing a size, making adjustments to patterns, garment sewing fundamentals, instruction on elevated garment finishes and demonstrations on using a serger for finishing garments.

Students should procure their pattern, fabric, and coordinating thread.
Fabric must be washed prior to the start of the first class!
