Welcome Henry & Company with special guest Stu Lax
Jake and Shaun have been playing, writing, and performing music together for more than 30 years. Over the years, they have explored a wide range of musical styles, from folk and acoustic rock to alternative and metal, both as singer-songwriters and as members of various bands. During that time, they performed together in the band Kohai, building and developing the creative partnership that continues today.
United by a lifelong friendship and a shared love of music, Jake and Shaun continue to learn from fellow musicians, grow in their craft, and find new ways to connect through music. Their performances are rooted in the belief that music brings people together, enriches life’s experiences, and creates meaningful moments of connection. Through a blend of familiar songs and genuine camaraderie, they enjoy sharing that experience with others wherever they play.
Stu Lax is a Kentucky native with deep roots in the Ohio River Valley. A Navy veteran, creative thinker, and lifelong learner, he has spent much of his life balancing practical skills with artistic pursuits. Whether restoring old homes, researching local history, playing golf, writing songs, or exploring new creative projects, Stu approaches life with curiosity and determination.
Stu is also known as the originator of the Alien Gospel Movement, an imaginative and exploratory philosophy that blends questions of humanity, mystery, spirituality, and our place in the wider universe. Through creative expression and open inquiry, he encourages others to examine the unknown with curiosity rather than fear.
Art Show
We will also have a community art show! The community is invited to participate in our art show inspired by (and even using) playing cards! We will have 3 categories; youth, teen, and adults. Artists are welcome to interput a piece, 2D or 3D, and display it during the event. There will be a winner from each category! Thank you to Dice on Draft, a board game bar located in Covington, for judging and providing the adult prize of a $100 gift certificate! More info to come shortly!
Fun Activities
We will be putting together a “People of Baker Hunt” project. We will be taking photos of willing individuals who want to participate, and collect their story on a recording, and in print. We will then keep these archived and share on Facebook! Come tell us your story!
