Mindful Art 2
Thursdays, 3:00 pm
February 5 – February 26 | Ages 16-99+
Class:
An extension of Mindful Art 1, students will work in various art mediums while learning about additional principles of mindfulness. Begin class with a guided meditation, followed by an art project using a different medium each week. Learn how to practice mindfulness not only in your artmaking, but in your everyday life.
Having previously taken “Mindful Art 1” is encouraged, but not required. Neither art experience or meditation experience is required.
What You’ll Learn:
In a calming group-instructed environment, you’ll work on projects that include: creative drawing. basket weaving, Japanese rock-wrapping, and print making.
What You’ll Leave With:
By the end of each class, you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being, basic skills in the listed mediums, and tools to help with mindfulness in both your art making practice and everyday life.
