The Writers Circle:
Community and Critique for Creative Writing
Wednesday, 6:30 pm
September 23 – October 14 | Ages 16+

Class:

A 4-week class of intimate writing in which writers will participate in fastwrite prompts, feedback discussions, and small group breakouts to share and receive responses to their brought work. The classformat supports fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journaling, or any other format that the writers wish to bring.

What You’ll Learn:

Newer writers will learn ways to explore their craft and find their writing voice. Experienced writers will learn new ways to approach their work from feedback from others, opening avenues for honing their craft and the craft of others.

All writers will learn topics on the process of writing, from developing a regular practice, improving elements of writing in prose or poetry, and how to both give and receive feedback in a constructive and positive way.

What You’ll Leave With:

  • Participants will leave with honest, respectful, and constructive feedback on whatever piece they chose to bring to the workshop (if they choose to share).
  • Participants will leave with further writing prompts for future fastwrites.

Participants will leave with a sense of a trusted writing community that they created together and can continue to rely on in the future.
