Getting to Know Your Sewing Machine

Class:
This class is for students who want to start sewing but aren’t familiar with using a sewing machine. In the class, we will cover basic use, stitch length, width, and stitch selection, common troubleshooting problems, and how to clean your machine. Students will leave class with a small thread catcher sewing project.
**If you have your own sewing machine, please bring it to class! If you do not, one will be provided for you to use!**
**This is a beginner level class**
What You’ll Learn:
How to wind a bobbin, thread your machine, learn about what different stitches do, stitch length & width adjustment & why we do it, parts of the sewing machine and common troubleshooting problems while using it, how to clean and maintain your machine, and how to use your machine to make a small project.
What You’ll Leave With:
A small fabric thread catcher and the knowledge of how to use a sewing machine.
