Photography Camp
5-Days | July 20th – July 24th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 10 to 14

CAMP Theme:

Camp focuses on photography as an art form, technical skills, etc.

What You’ll Discover:

Photograph your world! Youth will explore their world through the camera lens. Whether it’s a phone-camera, film-based, or a fancy digital camera, a lot of the same techniques and principles apply. Learn about the history of photography, the science behind how cameras work, take a deep dive into concepts such as composition and lighting, and take lots of photos! We will provide both film and digital cameras for the students to learn on and practice with, as well as provide focused/themed projects to explore students’ creativity with photography!

What You’ll Create:

You will practice a number of fun projects such as learning how to operate differ cameras, composing the perfect composition, lighting and staging techniques, outdoor photography, nature photography, and much more!

Boom! Vroom! Zoom! Whoosh! Camp
5-Days | June 15th – June 19th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 10 to 14

CAMP Theme:

Explore the interesting science and engineering of all the different kinds of vehicle! (Planes, Cars, Helicopters, Rockets, Trains, etc.)

What You’ll Discover:

Explore this week long exciting camp were art, science, and engineering combine to create a week of fun experiments, exciting projects, and thoughtful engagement of learning about how we move around the world in different vehicles. You’ll learn about the engineering of the different mechanical machines, the science and properties of how they work, and make creative works of art as we construct our own replications of different vehicles of transportation.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects and learn about the engineering of vehicles such as solar power and rubber band cars, popsicle helicopters, paper and water bottle rockets, steam, diesel and electric engines, balsa wood gliders and airplanes, and marble roller coasters.

Fantasy Camp
5-Days | July 13th – July 17th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 9 to 12

CAMP Theme:

This camp focuses on the magical, the mystical, the mysterious, the whimsical, the imaginative, and the fanciful. Where the camper’s endless creative possibilities are only limited by their vast imagination! From Dragons to Fairies, castles to dark forest, and from brave heroes and heroines to sinister dark kings and queens, your imaginative child will learn to illustrate, sculpt, and bring their fantasies to life.

What You’ll Discover:

Transport yourself to a far away land where anything and everything fanciful is possible! Your fun and excitement you will have is only limited by the strength of your imagination. In this week-long camp, youth will work through various individual and group projects to develop an understanding for using pencils, ink, art-markers, charcoal, water colors, sculpture techniques and more! Learn to draw and sculpt mythical creatures while making friends this summer. You’ll study mythical folklore from different cultures and will be able to create your own.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as build fairy houses, create dragon eye jewelry, paper knight helmets, book nook diorama, sculpting mythical creature figurines, study different cultural myths and folk lore, wizard and witch staff making, and natural material art making.

Cooking Around the World
5-Days | June 22 – June 26
9:00am-12:30pm | Ages 9 to 12

CAMP Theme:

Take a culinary trip around the world without leaving town! In this week-long camp, you’ll work with Chef to prepare lots of different dishes from around the world, discussing culture and history along the way!

What You’ll Discover:

In this camp you’ll discover the fun and delicious world of FOOD! Take a “trip” to Japan, Latin America, Europe, India, and more without leaving town!

What You’ll Create:

Work with the chef to create delicious dishes like Chinese Fried Rice, Paad Thai from Thailand, Pasta from Italy, and so much more! Eat all you’d like in class, and take the leftovers home with you!

Before-Care Available:

Before-Care provides additional time before camp for early drop-offs. Before-Care starts at 8am. To enroll, add the Before-Care “ticket” to your registration. After-care is not available for this camp | students must be picked up at 12:30pm

Natural Art Camp
5-Days | June 15th – June 19th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 9 to 12

CAMP Theme:

Campers will learn how to use objects from nature (leaves, stones, sticks, seeds, flowers, clay) to create unique works of art.

What You’ll Discover:

In this whimsical week long camp, you will learn how to turn everyday natural objects into tiny personalized works of art. We’ll explore the outside world all around our beautiful campus gathering materials to create fun, natural artworks. We will spend a lot of time outside, but also inside a giant bell tent pitched in the side yard.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects using natural objects to create weavings, a pinch pot, sculptures, paint brushes, and more. We will use flower petals, sticks, and seeds in new ways, and create ‘nature people’ then learn to take photos of them in a fun, whimsical setting.

This camp focuses on art around the world. Study different cultures and the significance of the art within them.

What You’ll Discover:

In this week long camp, explore exciting artist movements from around the globe. From every continent, from ancient art to the future, students will travel across the world and through time while creating art inspired by the countries they visit.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will study and create fun projects such as African tribal masks, figurine sculpting, weaving, acrylic painting, performances, rain sticks, and so much more.

Superhero Camp
5-Days | July 6th – July 10th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

This camp focuses on everything Superhero, comic book/strip related, and to help increase the campers ability to draw and illustrate and create their own superhero.

What You’ll Discover:

Excelsior! Enter an imaginative world of good superheroes prevailing over evil villains as you create your very own crime fighter on the pages of you comic book and canvas! Learn to illustrate with pro tips to create life within your super illustrations. It is the perfect camp for imaginative youth who love superheroes and love to draw.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as creating your own superhero. Complete with background story, list of super powers, and archrivals. Mask making, cape making, figure sculpting and posing, comic illustration pencil, markers, and ink, story boards, and so much more!

Glass Camp
5-Days | June 8th – June 12th

CAMP Theme:

Explore the many uses of glass in artwork, from stained glass, to mosaics, to fused glass, and more!

What You’ll Discover:

Have you ever wondered how stained glass windows are made? Or what goes into the art of mosaics? In this week-long camp, youth will work with glass to design and create pieces in stained glass, mosaics, fused glass, and look at reginal places that glass is created and crafted! Learn the safety, science, techniques, and artistry of working with glass!

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as a small hanging window stained glass piece, a whimsical garden mosaic artwork, fused glass objects, and so much more!

Ink & Inspiration Camp
5-Days | June 1st – June 5th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 10 to 14

CAMP Theme:

Focus on 2D media created with pencil, ink, charcoal.

What You’ll Discover:

If your artist is serious about learning, sign up so they can explore these deceptively simple media to build a strong foundation for artistic success! In this week-long camp, youth will work through various individual and group projects to develop an understanding for using pencils, ink, and art-markers to their highest potential. Techniques in drawing the human figure, objects in still-life, perspective drawing and more while learning about the many different types of pencils available to artists. Explore ink as a medium to enhance your drawings, try your hand at calligraphy, and more! Finally, explore the versatility of artist-markers for adding color to drawings.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as letter making and calligraphy, still life’s, landscapes and out door sketches, speed drawing, blind contour drawing, laying multiple mediums (pen, ink, makers), and so much more!

Space Camp
5-Days | June 15th – June 19th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

This camp will focus on everything about Space and the Cosmos, Rockets, Planets, Past and Future Space Exploration!

What You’ll Discover:

BLAST OFF into another world in this week-long camp, where campers will be emersed in the infinite expanding cosmos as they learn fun facts about all things Space and craft unique and fun art projects that will send the child’s imagination souring past the Milky Way. Campers will learn to use multimedia practices, such as drawing, sculpting, painting, etc., to create imaginative works from what they learn each day. Topics such as the James Webb telescope, our solar system, Nasa and their Exploration Initiative, imagining what extraterrestrials would look like for other solar systems, and so much more!

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects and study objects such as kaleidoscope & telescope crafts, studying rockets, learning about stars and constellations, learn all about the planets in our solar system, create a UFO, and sculpting rockets and space stations.
