Holiday Gifts 3 – Needle Felting!
Tuesday, December 8, 2026
6:00pm – 8:00pm | Ages 12 – 17
General Class Description:
Get into the holiday spirit with a fun, hands-on crafting experience! In this creative workshop series, you can make a variety of handmade gifts and decorations that are perfect for sharing with family and friends. This workshop will focus on the process of Needle Felting! Needle felting is a craft that turns loose wool fibers into solid two-dimensional pictures or three-dimensional sculptures.
What You’ll Learn:
You will learn the basic steps of the process of needle felting, using special felting needles featuring tiny notches (barbs) along the shaft.
- Toggling & Tangling: As you poke the needle into the wool, the barbs catch the individual scales of the wool fibers and push them downward, tangling and locking them tightly together.
- Building Shapes: Repeatedly stabbing the wool condenses it into a firm, cohesive shape. You can add more wool layers or attach separate pieces (like ears or limbs) by leaving loose fibers at the joints and felting them in.
What You’ll Leave With:
A unique, needle-felted sculpture/ornament, perfect for holiday gifts!
