The “Write” Stuff! :
A Writing, Discussion, & Feedback Workshop
Wednesday, 6:30 pm
May 20 | Ages 16+
Class:
An evening workshop of intimate writing in which writers will participate in fastwrite prompts, feedback discussions, and small group breakouts to share and receive responses to their brought work. The workshops format supports fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journaling, or any other format that the writers wish to bring.
What You’ll Learn:
Participants will learn methods for providing constructive and adaptive feedback based on the requests of the writer, how to create a welcoming and supportive space for receiving feedback and sharing their work, and will gain greater insight into how their work is received by an audience, and what ways they might improve towards their own writing goals (if they choose to share with the group).
What You’ll Leave With:
Participants will leave with honest and constructive feedback on whatever piece they chose to bring to the workshop (if they choose to share), will leave with further writing prompts for future fastwrites, and with a sense of a writing community that they created together during this workshop.
Deadline to register by: May 16th
Instructor: Michael Georgilis
Supply List
Writing supplies – either pen and paper, journals, laptops; anything that’s needed for class participants to write in a way that is comfortable for them.
