RAWR! STOMP! RAWR! Camp
5-Days | July 13th – July 17th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

This camp focuses on Dinosaurs, Dinosaur facts & Art, paleontology, and all things prehistoric.

What You’ll Discover:

Venture back in time where the world was young and dinosaurs ruled over the prehistoric world! Learn all about dinosaurs in this fun filled week long class as you create amazing and fun works of art.

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects such as creating your own dinosaur, art about dinosaur facts, identify dinosaur fossils, make your own dino fossil, and so much more!

Before & After-care Available:

Before & After-care provides additional time before and after camp for early drop-offs and late pick-ups. Before-Care starts at 8am, and After-Care ends at 4pm. To enroll, add the Before & After-care “ticket” to your registration.

Americas Indigenous Art Camp
5-Days | June 1st – June 5th
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

Focus on the many artforms attributed to the ancient and modern Indigenous people of North and South America!

What You’ll Discover:

This week-long art camp steeped in cultural history explores the ancient and modern arts of the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas! Explore Mayan culture through mosaics and architecture (model building), the Incas and their woven textiles full of symbolism, the Mississippian cultures’ shell art and copper plaques, and Inuits for their “soap” stone carvings and beadwork textiles, Indigenous Americans and their basketry and pottery, and more!

What You’ll Create:

You will create a number of fun projects such as masks, paper weaving, soap carving, beading/bead jewelry, small pottery making, and figurine sculpting.

Before & After-care Available:

Introduction to Character Design
Saturday, 12:00 pm
January 10 – January 31 | Ages 11-13

Class:

Learn the basics of character design in this four week course, offering demos on drawing basics like shape breakdowns and best sketchbook practices, with hands-on studio time. Students will develop original characters over the course of 4-weeks and learn visual storytelling elements.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating character. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.

Animation Illustration
Saturday, 12:00 pm
February 7 – February 28 | Ages 10 – 15

Class:

Learn the basics of animation, some of the principles, and history. You will be introduced to motion and hand-drawing paper animation by creating a flipbook! Begin creating your own character and start to animate them using the animation techniques used in the first class.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn what is meant by perspective, composition, foreshortening, anatomy, line quality, and shading. You will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have a more understanding and confidence of how of how to draw and develop elements of creating animations. After each of the four class meeting, you will have learned a new drawing application and character development skills.

Charcoal Open Studio
Friday, 9:00 am
February 6 – February 27 | Ages 16-99+

Class:

This open studio is perfect for beginners! Have a photo you would like to make into a charcoal drawing? Bring it! Have an object you would like to draw from life? Bring it! Or if you want an original composition, you brainstorm with your instructor on ideas and tips for how to get started with a project

What You’ll Learn:

In a group learning environment, you will be working on your own current self-pace artwork, and will have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance, feedback on your artwork, guidance of tips and techniques of using charcoal, and inspiration from the instructor.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will have more confidence in the progression of your current artwork.
