Creative Writing Event | “The Bones of Writing: Structure in Prose and Poetry” | July 30th, 2026 | 6:00pm

This free, community workshop will explore topics of creating a compelling structure for fiction, prose, and poetry. Discussions will include different approaches to structure, how they retain tension or offer insight to the reader, and how writers might use them as inspirations for their own creative works. Time will also be dedicated for fast-writes and group read-arounds for those comfortable enough to share.

Michael Georgilis (he/him) is a local Cincinnati writer and community volunteer. In addition to earning his degree in English and Creative Writing from Centre College, he is the co-editor of the upcoming community anthology We Hold These Truths to Be Self-Evident, and an active board member at the Women Writing for (a) Change organization.

We encourage participants of this workshop to join us for the Open-mic night, scheduled for August 20th. Learn more HERE.
