Beginner Mosaics

Class:

Explore the wonderous world of Mosaic making! Come and discover the basic steps and the tools used in the Mosaic making process. In a step-by-step instruction, small group learning environment, you will create on a single 12″x12″ mosaic panel design selected by the instructor. This class is set up as a beginner class or a refresher class.  No mosaic working experience is needed.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn how to properly use the basic tools of a mosaic artis, and the class is focused on the basics of mosaic making, materials, techniques,  including design, cutting glass, gluing and grouting.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of the course, you will have learned and experienced first-hand all the steps of how to make a piece of mosaic art, and you will leave with a completed 12″x12″ mosaic design.

Gentle Slow Flow Yoga
Tuesdays, 10:00 am

Beginner Yoga for Ages 16+

Class:

Join us to help find your center and help maintain your mental and physical health. This yoga class is slower in pace, cadence, and more gentle to your nervous system. In this class we practice less intense positions, and offer extended time for meditation, breath work, and relaxation. Beginner friendly. Class is beginner friendly, for adults ages 16+.

What You’ll Learn:

In a group, movement-by-movement instructed environment, you will learn traditional and easy yoga stances and practices.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being.

Explore the wonderous world of stained glass making! Come and discover the basic steps and the tools used in the Stained Glass making process. In a step-by-step instruction, small group learning environment, you will create on a single stained glass panel from a selected group of popular beginner level patterns by the instructor. This class is set up as a beginner class or a refresher class.  No glass working experience is needed.

What You’ll Learn:

You will learn how to properly use the basic tools of a stained glass artist, and you will learn the FOUR basic steps of the stained glass making process: Glass Cutting, Glass Grinding, Foiling, and Soldering. You will demonstrate these four steps on a simple class practice piece design first, and then demonstrate them on your final project design.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of the course, you will have learned and experienced first-hand all the steps of how to make a piece of stained glass art, and you will leave with a completed piece of stained glass artwork. (A small-medium practice piece design)

Flow to Floor Yoga

Class:

Join us to help find your center and help maintain your mental and physical health. . “Flow to Floor” first begins with 30 minutes or so is a traditional vinyasa flow sequence, and then the end of class, students transitions into a slower pace with more restorative postures. (i.e. mainly seated, supine, or prone poses). Class is beginner friendly, for adults ages 16+.

In a group, movement-by-movement instructed environment, you will learn traditional and easy yoga stances and practices.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of each class meeting you will leave refreshed with a better mental and physical well-being.

The “Write” Stuff! :
A Writing, Discussion, & Feedback Workshop
Wednesday, 6:30 pm
May 20 | Ages 16+

Class:

An evening workshop of intimate writing in which writers will participate in fastwrite prompts, feedback discussions, and small group breakouts to share and receive responses to their brought work. The workshops format supports fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journaling, or any other format that the writers wish to bring.

What You’ll Learn:

Participants will learn methods for providing constructive and adaptive feedback based on the requests of the writer, how to create a welcoming and supportive space for receiving feedback and sharing their work, and will gain greater insight into how their work is received by an audience, and what ways they might improve towards their own writing goals (if they choose to share with the group).

What You’ll Leave With:

Participants will leave with honest and constructive feedback on whatever piece they chose to bring to the workshop (if they choose to share), will leave with further writing prompts for future fastwrites, and with a sense of a writing community that they created together during this workshop.

Intro to Photography
Wednesday, 6:00 pm
April 15 – May 6 | Ages 16+

Class:

During this new and exciting 4-week course, its intent is to teach each student how to confidently use their camera by understanding exposure, composition and natural ambient light. In addition, we will cover basic editing. Each session will blend instruction, hands-on practice and group discussion to build skills progressively.

What You’ll Learn:

In a small group learning environment, students will learn the camera basics and exposure fundamentals, the understanding of the usage of light, color and basic editing, composition and visual storytelling, and more!

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of the 4-week course, you will understand and control exposure settings, compose visually engaging photographs, use natural light effectively, perform basic photo editing, and approach photography with confidence and creative intention
