Family Knife Skills – Keep the Knife!

Learning knife skills at a young age fosters independence, empowers the cook and enhances safety by replacing fear with proper, controlled techniques. Mastering these techniques, as an adult or a young person, leads to more efficient cooking and better eating.
With basic knife skills we’ll learn about the knife, knife cuts and cooking application. We’ll enjoy a roasted vegetable bowl with our knife cuts. Mary will demo a classic French vinaigrette

Menu:

  • Class is for ages 7-10 accompanied by an adult – each adult can only have one child with them.
  • Best for beginner-intermediate youth cooks

Homemade Gummy Bears
Candy Making Class for Ages 7-10 w/Adult

Join Chef/Owner Annie Brown of Laughing Bees Honey for a candy class making Gummy Bears! You’ll learn the steps to making gummy bears and other soft candies at home! You’ll go home with a batch of your own delicious gummy bears, and a silicone mold to make more! Class is for ages 7-10 who must be accompanied by an adult (18+)

Skills you’ll learn:

  • Kitchen safety
  • Making Gummy Bears and Soft Candy
  • Working with cooked sugar

What you’ll take home:

  • A batch of delicious gummy bears
  • A silicone gummy-bear mold

Pirates of the High Seas!
5-Days | July 27th – July 31st
9:00am-3:00pm | Ages 7-10

CAMP Theme:

This camp is all about the mystery and wonder of the pirates of the high seas!

What You’ll Discover:

Hidden creative treasures emerge from the kids in this camp! Learn about ocean creatures (some even mystical), boats and buoyancy, treasure maps, and more, all while having a swashbuckling good time!

What You’ll Create:

In this camp, you will create fun projects centered around the theme of Pirates of the High Seas! We’ll create unique treasure maps, makeshift pirate boats while learning about buoyancy, build and decorate your own treasure chest, make custom pirate hats, learn different knots used on boats, play games like capture the flag, and so much more!

Before & After-care Available:

Before & After-care provides additional time before and after camp for early drop-offs and late pick-ups. Before-Care starts at 8am, and After-Care ends at 4pm. To enroll, add the Before & After-care “ticket” to your registration.

Baking Masters!
5-Day Baking Camp | July 27 – July 31
9:00am-12:30pm | Ages 7 to 10

CAMP Theme:

This camp is ALL about BAKING! Tackle the basics-intermediate baking skills like reading recipes, measuring, and more while you bake and decorate desserts all week!

What You’ll Discover:

In this camp you’ll discover techniques in baking like measuring, safely using the ovens, how to bake and build a beautiful cake, cupcakes, and more!

What You’ll Create:

Work with the chef to create muffins, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, creme brulee, cheesecakes, mini pies, and more! Enjoy making a delicious snack each day to help offset the sweetness of this camp! Students get to keep all the leftovers from what they bake in camp!

Before-Care Available:

Before-Care provides additional time before camp for early drop-offs. Before-Care starts at 8am. To enroll, add the Before-Care “ticket” to your registration. After-care is not available for this camp | students must be picked up at 12:30pm
