Liz Field is the founder and owner of The Cheesecakery, an award-winning Cincinnati bakery known for its handcrafted cheesecakes, creative dessert flavors, and joyful customer experience. Over the past 17 years, she has grown her passion for baking into a thriving business that is a favorite throughout Greater Cincinnati. 

Liz is a proud Cincinnati native and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, a pastry arts degree from the Midwest Culinary Institute, and a master’s degree in Leadership & Innovation from Northern Kentucky University. She combines formal culinary training with nearly two decades of hands-on experience, creating desserts that have earned local and national recognition. 

As an instructor, Liz believes baking should be approachable, enjoyable, and never intimidating. She loves teaching the fundamentals while encouraging students to find their own style and confidence in the kitchen. Rather than believing there’s only one “right” way to bake or decorate, Liz enjoys demonstrating multiple techniques, processes, and presentation styles because everyone learns differently—and everyone develops their own preferences. 

One of her favorite parts of teaching is watching students discover their creativity. She believes there are no wrong answers when it comes to decorating, and that the best desserts are often the ones that reflect the baker’s own personality. Her goal is for every student to leave feeling inspired, confident, and excited to keep creating long after class is over. 

When she’s not in the bakery, Liz enjoys salsa dancing, spending time with her two Yorkshire Terriers, and making memories with family and friends. She’s always dreaming up her next cheesecake flavor and believes that life’s sweetest moments are often the ones shared around the table.
