Spooky Ceramic Cats & Dogs!

Class:

Just in time for spooky season, make your own hand-built ceramic cat OR dog! Walk through all the steps to complete your own custom ceramic cat, then pick out a glaze (yes, there is black), and pick up your finished, fired four-legged friend in time for Halloween!

What You’ll Learn:

During this class, students will learn the fundamental steps to create their own ceramic cat.

These include :

• Slab building
• Slipping and scoring
• Basic finishing techniques
• Simple surface decoration

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of this class, students will have learned some introductory skills to hand building and will have their very own ceramic cat!

(Student work will go through two firings after the workshop has been completed. Baker Hunt will provide glaze options for the students and will glaze their work for them. Students will be contacted, via email, once their pottery has finished firing and is available for pick up on a later date.)
