4th of July Patriotic Tye-dye T-shirt

What better way to celebrate 250 years of Independence this Fourth of July than with your very own patriotic tie-dye t-shirt!! Show off the good ole’ red, white, and blue this year as you twist, turn, and dye the t-shirt to create a unique, spirited design of your very own!

What You’ll Learn:

In this class, you will learn the basics of the tie-dye process using red and blue non-toxic dyes on a white t-shirt. We will investigate several methods of creating designs by way of twisting, folding, and turning the shirt as we apply the dye in small doses. Don’t worry about your hands or clothes – we will supply non-latex gloves and aprons!

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of this class, you will have a patriotic tie-dye t-shirt for the Fourth of July (or any day, really!) as well as care instructions to make those colors last!

Father’s Day Picture Frame & Desktop Organizer

Father’s Day will be here before you know it, and it can sometimes be hard to think of something for Dad on his special day. Why not celebrate Dad with an endearing Picture Frame & Desktop Organizer? With 4 frames for photos (of you!) and room to put pens, staplers, or just general dad-stuff, this hand-made gift will always have a place in Dad’s heart!

What You’ll Learn:

In the class, students will learn basic gluing and adhering techniques with wood, as well as simple methods to stain and paint on an unfinished wood piece. Throughout the class, we will discuss what it means to endow objects with meaning and significance, particularly through the addition of family photos.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of this class, you will have made a uniquely decorated Picture Frame & Desktop Organizer, ready to insert pictures of you and your family as a great gift for Dad on Father’s Day!

Father’s Day Painted Hammer

Looking for a Father’s day gift that has your own personal touch? Come paint a hammer with us! Whether your father uses it or proudly displays it, this personalized, painted hammer will become his favorite tool – he’ll love that you designed and decorated it for him! Not to hammer the point too much, but your dad will think that you nailed it with this gift!

What You’ll Learn:

Not only will you learn to apply several painting techniques on a specific 3D object, but also learn a variety of tips and tricks to achieve patterns, repetition, and decoration. Throughout the class, we will discuss what it means to endow objects with meaning and significance.

What You’ll Leave With:

By the end of this class, you will have learned some new painting techniques, thought about what makes an object special, and made a personalized, painted hammer for Dad on his special day!

Mother’s Day Birdseed Wreaths

If you are looking for a unique, hand-made gift for Mom on Mother’s Day, this class is for you! Join us as we dive into the world of backyard birds as we create decorated birdseed wreaths! Sure to attract the attention of a variety of colorful, native birds to your backyard, this birdseed wreath will also attract the attention of Mom on her special day!

What You’ll Learn:

We will discuss the kinds of native and migrating birds that reside in the greater Cincinnati/NKY area for the spring and summer, as well as the different types of seeds, fruits, and nuts that they love to eat! We will also learn how to use eco- and bird-friendly materials as binding agents for our feeder wreaths.

What You’ll Leave With:

Each stud will leave with a beautiful, outdoor birdseed wreath (and a mold for future wreaths!) that has a one-of-a-kind design made with fruits, nuts, and other bird-loving foods…just in time for Mother’s Day! You will also have a greater appreciation for the birds in our area, and leave with tips for attracting specific birds to your backyard!
