Eat Now AND Later – Bechamel-Based Meals
Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 | 10:30am-1:00pm

In this class, you will learn to make the classic mother sauce, Bechamel, then use it in 2 different recipes – one will be a lovely lunch to share with classmates, the other will be packed for you to take home and have for dinner, or freeze for another time. This class is for students ages 16+, students work in pairs so sign up with a friend! Please register by February 6th at noon.

Menu:

  • Batch of Bechamel
  • Kentucky Hot Brown for lunch
  • Take Home and Ready-to-Eat 2lb of Mac N Cheese

Skills You’ll Learn:

  • Kitchen Safety, Knife Skills
  • Mother Sauces

  • Classic KY Hot Brown

What you’ll take home:

  • Any leftovers from your KY Hot Brown
  • A 2lb tray of macaroni and cheese to eat or freeze

Kids’ Dinner Favorites!
Cooking Class for Ages 7-10 w/Adult
Thursday, February 26th, 2026 | 5:30-7:30pm

You’ll cook up classic comfort favorites like creamy stovetop macaroni and cheese, crispy breaded chicken tenders, and fresh veggies with homemade ranch dip. The class ends on a sweet note with a warm brown butter skillet cookie everyone will love sharing. Class is for kids ages 7-10 with an adult. Please register by February 22nd at noon.

Soul Food Sides for Thanksgiving
Cooking Class for Ages 16+
Tuesday, November 25 | 6:00-8:00pm

Join Chef Mona for a meal-prep class just in time for Thanksgiving!  Students will prepare delicious sides they can serve at Thanksgiving dinner, including Scratch Macaroni and Cheese, and Braised Greens (prepped to crock-pot at home). These classics are sure to add a southern, soulful flair to your dinner.  Each student will prepare and take home 4-6 servings of each side dish.  Students work in pairs. Class is for ages 16+
