Are you curious about a starting new art making medium, but worried to see if its right for you? Do you want to experience a class that you get to try a multitude of mediums? THEN THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!!!

ART EXPLORATION SERIES is a 4-week class designed for students to try new mediums with out the stress of having to commit to a full 4 or 8 week course in the discipline of a single media. Each week, students will have the opportunity to try a different medium.(4 different mediums in total)

Mediums such as:  Drawing, Colored Pencils, Watercolors/Gouache, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Ceramics (Handbuilding only), Paper/Collage, Sewing (Hand/embroidery), Stained Glass, Pastels, and so much more!

Join us in discovering your newest and greatest hobby together this Fall Session at Baker Hunt!

Handful of Stitches: Introduction to Embroidery
Friday, 6:00 p.m.

Do you want to learn hand embroidery but find the number of stitches intimidating? Then join us as we explore a handful of stitches!

We’ll take inspiration from modern embroidery artists who create traditional and not so traditional works of hand embroidery with just a handful of stitches. In this class we will learn a handful of stitches, incorporate beads, and review ideas for traditional abstract pieces.

***Please Note*** Due to the labor intensive nature of this craft, the project you create during this class, depending on the students individual designs, might not be completed by the end of the class session.

No makeup classes will be made available in the case of illness or inclement weather.

Garden Planning with Jennifer Smith!
Tuesday, 6:00 p.m.
September 23 – October 14
Ages 16-99+

Love gardening, but need a little help in the planning process to design a new garden or update an existing garden?

Join Baker Hunt for this 4-week class that is perfect for homeowners or for the the occasional or recreationally gardener.  Students will review soil prep, site analysis, group, block, and Matrix planting styles, plant selection with an emphasis on plants that attract and support pollinators, and ongoing garden care. The class will review and discuss sun, shade, and gravel gardens, and look into works by influential gardeners in the nation.

“Smith co-taught a UC-DAAP course (Herbaceous plants and the New Perennial Movement), has spoken for many garden clubs, The Midwest Native Plant Society, Tri-State green industry conference, and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens (Native Plant Symposium) to name a few.
Some of her gardens have won awards and was featured on the CNC nature plant garden tour.”
