Kara Fairfield

Kara is a proud graduate of Le Cordon Bleu International Culinary Academy — which is basically Hogwarts, but for people who wield whisks instead of wands. After working in kitchens all over the city, she found her sweet spot at Baker Hunt, where she now whips up deliciousness and delight as one of our chef instructors and is also our Events and Hospitality Manager.Kara is obsessed with all things food history and vintage — if it’s got a retro recipe card or a story about gelatin molds, she’s in. Her favorite classes to teach include themed dinners, decades dining, and anything that lets her crack open a gloriously weird vintage cookbook.When she’s not hosting events or cooking up nostalgia, Kara can be found foraging for wild foods, scouring thrift shops for forgotten treasures, or taking epically long naps with her sidekick and snuggle professional, Roxxie the puppy.
