Introduction to Colored Pencil: Woodland Creatures

Class:
During this eight week beginner level class, students will be introduced to techniques that are essential when drawing wildlife with the colored pencil
medium. Consisting of two separate projects, focused on woodland creatures, this class will help students establish the necessary foundation that will help their artistic skills come to life.
(Prior drawing experience isn’t required for this class, but it is encouraged.)
What You’ll Learn:
Students will learn how to use fundamental drawing techniques with the colored pencil medium to create drawings of wildlife that possess life-like form, color, texture, and personality.
What You’ll Leave With:
By the end of this class, each student will leave with two colored pencil drawings exhibiting the understanding of fundamental drawing techniques and how to utilize them to create believable results.

– One Durable Eraser
– One 8in. x 10in. Pad of Drawing Paper/Bristol
– One 24 count set of Prismacolor Colored Pencils
– Additional Prismacolor Colored Pencil Colors: 20% Cool Grey, 30% Cool
Grey, 50% Cool Grey, 70% Cool Grey, and 90% Cool Grey
– It’s also suggested that the students have a handheld pencil sharpener.
