Do you want to learn hand embroidery but find the number of stitches intimidating? Then join us as we explore a handful of stitches!
Learn to create beautiful designs in hand embroidery with a handful of stiches. Students will learn the basics of hand embroidery, including how to create their own design. We’ll take inspiration from modern embroidery artists who create traditional and not so traditional works of hand embroidery while we will stitch in 4″ hoops.
What You’ll Learn:
Attendees will learn how to design for hand embroidery, loading fabric in a hoop, threading the needle, separating threads, using multiple thread colors with each stitch, handful of very useful and versatile stitches, and how to create depth and texture with stitches
What You’ll Leave With:
This four-week class week class offers ample time for in classroom instruction, insights and inspirations from accomplished hand embroidery artists, a finished embroidery piece in a 4″ hoop of the students creation- a one-of-a-kind piece of work.
