Suffrage Movement and Fibers Sunday, 1:00pm Grades 9-12
The first half-hour of the program will be an historical presentation by Katherine Durack regarding the Suffrage Movement and the fibers it has woven throughout our world. The second two hours will be creating projects with fibers as women would have during the time of the Suffrage Movement, taught by Karen Etling. The young women will learn the basics of crocheting and then will use that knowledge to creating a wash cloth and begin a scarf project. The class will end with Q & A. This class will allow you to earn steps towards the GSWO Suffrage Centennial Patch.
