Intermediate Watercolor Painting

Grow your skills as you learn to paint a successful watercolor painting. The course is designed for intermediate watercolor student who is interested in furthering their professional art practice. Experience in watercolor painting required.
Demonstrations in techniques and materials will be held during each class. Handouts on the below areas will be provided- For example:
Week 1- Your color palette. Masking out areas large and small.
Week 2 – Blended wash/ begin a landscape/ composition
Week 3 – Simple and complex perspective- handout
Week 4 – Mid-session critique and review color choices
Week 5 – Begin portrait drawing – facial features, sketching
Week 6 – Glazing with watercolor – “lifting out”, fixing mistakes
Week 7 – Use of other tools- natural sponge, palette knife, etc
Week 8 – Use of sketchbook as a tool. The Business of Art
