Beginner Handbuilding
Wednesdays, 10:00 am
June 11 – August 6 | Ages 16-99+
Learn the uniquely expressive qualities of clay to create pottery and sculpture. Develop various hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling, and slab-making. Students will create beautifully glazed and fired ceramic ware as they work on teacher-led projects and practices.
Students are required to follow the instructor’s curriculum. Only work produced from that curriculum will be fired.
No Classes the week of June 30th – July 5th!!!
No makeup classes will be made available in the case of illness or inclement weather.

Supply List
Students will need to bring:
- Own set of clay tools
- Small clay work sponge
- Approximately 2ft x 2ft piece of canvas
- (Optional but recommended) Small/detail paintbrushes for glazing
- (Optional but recommended) Plastic bags for wrapping work
Students will be provided:
- Shelf space as close to their creation station as possible
- (1x) bag of clay
