Once designed and glued down, the piece is finished with grout to lock everything in place for a professional mosaic. This project introduces traditional mosaic techniques in a safe, beginner-friendly studio format while still producing a durable, display-quality finished piece.\nWhat Will Students Learn?\nPrinciples of mosaic design (pattern, balance, and spacing).\nHow to safely handle and arrange small glass pieces.\nBasic surface adhesion techniques using mosaic glue.\nGrouting and finishing methods used in traditional tile art.\nColor theory and composition using mixed materials.\nWhat Will Students Leave With?\nStudents will create a finished mosaic tile artwork (coaster, trivet, or small wall piece) or a mosaic vase.
