DESCRIPTION:***No Classes The Week Of June 29th – July 5th***\nClass Description:\nThis four-week class invites teens to explore sustainability and creativity by transforming old T-shirts into functional, handmade tote bags. Combining upcycling with beginner-friendly crochet, students will learn how to turn everyday clothing into something both practical and uniquely their own.\nWhat You’ll Learn:\nIn the first week, participants will learn how to cut and prepare T-shirts into continuous “yarn,” exploring different methods and textures. Week two introduces the basics of crochet, including foundational stitches and how to start a project. In week three, students will begin constructing their tote bags, building confidence as they see their work take shape.
