SUMMARY:Introduction to Drawing Landscapes
Tuesdays, 6:00 pm
June 2 – July 28 | Ages 16+
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n***No Classes The Week Of June 29th – July 5th***\nClass:\nHave you ever wanted to learn how to draw landscapes, but didn’t know where to start? This 8-week course is designed to help students develop their landscape drawing skills, from understanding basic composition and perspective to practicing shading, texture, and drawing natural forms. Perfect for beginners and intermediate artists, this course offers both instruction and hands-on practice to build confidence and creativity in drawing natural environments. When possible, this course will incorporate time sketching outside on Baker Hunt’s beautiful campus!\nWhat You’ll Learn:\nEach week, students will explore different elements of landscape drawing by following step-by-step projects with various mediums, including graphite, charcoal, and colored pencil, with an emphasis on colored pencil during the final project. Students will work in a collaborative, group-learning environment, and will also have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance and feedback on their artwork from the instructor.\nWhat You’ll Leave With:\nBy the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in landscape art and will complete a final project that demonstrates their growth and understanding of the techniques learned throughout the class.
